Steve Froelich is director Strategic Command and Control market segment. In this position, he is responsible for a portfolio of domestic and international command and control systems, principally, Director of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) program. These systems are actively deployed and maintained worldwide providing real time situational awareness, operational control and decision support. Recent portfolio responsibility included International Air C2 and Air Sovereignty Systems fielded in 16 countries, Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) and Lockheed’s formulation of Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) principals. For the previous two years, he has been immersed in the Royal Australian Airforce’s (RAAF) Plan Jericho and AIR6500 programs to help define next generation C4ISR and MDC2. Mr. Froelich’s career spans 35 years of service with industry and the military. His diverse background includes experience in program management, program start-up, risk management and strategic planning. He joined Lockheed Martin in 2001 as a program manager and worked assignments of increasing responsibility including program director of Operational and Tactical C4 Systems, National Rail C2 Systems, Manned and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles, Acoustic Sensors, Shipboard Computing and Workstations. He served collaterally as Lockheed Martin’s site general manager of Palm Beach, FL, San Diego, CA and Huntsville, Al. Prior to Joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Froelich served in the US Navy for 21 years as a Surface Warfare Officer specializing in Combat, Weapons, Cruise Missile and Command and Control Systems. He deployed as Commanding Officer of USS SIROCCO. Mr. Froelich received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota as part of a Navy Commissioning Program and Holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from Strayer College. He currently resides in Huntsville, AL with his wife Laura.
